French text Original text Un soir Guillot a sa Cathin a dict Dame Cathin, pour qui tant ie lamente Maimes vous bien elle luy respondit Oui nennin affin que ie ne mente.

French text (modernized) Un soir, Guillot a sa Catin a dit: "Dame Catin, pour qui tant je lamente, M'aimez-vous bien?" Elle lui répondit: "Oui nennin, afin que je ne mente".

English translation So one night Guillot says to his Catin: "Lady Catin, who gives me such grief, Are you loving me lots?" She replies: "Yes and no, so I don't tell porkies". (trans Timmi O'Danaos & Donna Ferrentes)
